Freediving Courses

Freediver

Freediving is about inner power, discipline and control. If you've always wanted to enter the underwater world quietly, on your own terms, staying as long as your breath allows, then freediving is for you. Taking the PADI Freediver course is your first step toward discovering why freediving is becoming a popular way to explore beneath the waves. This course consists of an eLearning, a pool or confined water site session, and an open water session where we'll exercise what you've learned! All courses come with videos and photos taken throughout the duration of the class at no extra charge!

Learn the skills and get the chance to earn a certification! Must be at least 12 years old and have adequate swimming skills. Can comfortably swim at least 200meters/yards without swim aids. No prior experience with snorkeling, skin diving or freediving is required.

Mermaid Courses

Advanced Mermaid Course

6 hrs$470

In this advanced course, we will take your mermaid skills to the open ocean! You will learn how open water environments differ from a pool or confined water, and be introduced to open water mermaiding techniques. You will also learn about aquatic life – what to expect, how it can affect you, and how you can mermaid safely. All courses come with videos and photos taken throughout the duration of the class at no extra charge! Certification included.

Prerequisites: Can swim 100m/320ft without swim aids, float comfortably at the surface for at least 10 mins, and must have completed the Mermaid Course.

Class Outline:
- Homework before we Zoom: Complete online elearnings. Read textbook manual with quizzes.
Zoom: Online Knowledge Review lecture
Day 1: Pool session - work on in-pool mermaid and freediving skills, advance mono fin and bifin technique, improve breath hold, emergency safety drills, and familiarize diving with a dive float
Day 2: Open Water session - introduce environmental factors, swim in open water in tail and bifins, work on depth and safety skills with a float and line

I want to take this time to express how thankful I am for The Surreal Serena . Yesterday I was on cloud nine after completing my Mermaid Padi course. This absolutely made my year! I had manifested and now I’ve been able to complete a life long dream. Even though I had concerns with my health, my fears and lack of knowledge, I knew I had found the Mermaid I can trust with my Mermaiding journey. I was not wrong. She was so intuitive, knowledgeable and caring. With her Mermaid spirit, she heard me, guided me, helped me and showed me so much. All I can think about is getting in the water again. I will practice and practice everything I learned so the next time I swim with Mermaids I do it with confidence. Mermaid dreams do come true!

Christine, without any doubt, is a great instructor because she loves what she is doing.
I am impressed with her patience level especially with me since I have a bit trouble with slowing down (lol). Also since I am deaf and communicate thru sign language, she took her own time learning some signs on her own time so we can communicate better.

I had a lot of fun in the pool and came away with a skill I didn't have before. The instructor was kind, patient and knowledgeable. If you want to learn to freedive, or if you already can but would like to improve your skills, this is the lady to contact. Check her website for other classes, like mermaid! That must be an awesome class because she's an awesome instructor. 💙 I highly recommend.

Christine is an amazing instructor! She is very friendly and super sweet. I highly recommend working with her! She made me feel so comfortable and walked me through the entire process so I knew what to expect because she knew I was nervous. I absolute admire and respect this incredible fish so much! She’s not only incredibly patient and kind, but does her utmost to help her students excel!
